R&A rules apply, except as modified by the following:
LANDSCAPE & WASTE AREAS
All landscape, wadi and waste areas are to be treated as a general area/part of the golf hole, and NOT a bunker. When in a landscaped area, you may play the ball as it lies or take a one (1) shot penalty and move the ball 2 club lengths, not closer to the hole. Within the landscape, drip lines and landscape shrubs that impact stance or intended swing will receive relief (1 club length) without penalty.
MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
Staked Trees, Steps, Internal Fences, Course Furniture, Sprinkler Heads, and Drain Covers are all deemed immovable obstructions. Providing the ball does not lie in a penalty area, relief may be taken in accordance with R& A Rules.
OUT OF BOUNDS
The Clubhouse, Car Park, Community Properties and Main Roads are deemed (OOB) out of bounds.
Penalty Areas
When it is known or virtually certain that a ball is in a red penalty area and the player wishes to take relief, the player has three options, each for one penalty stroke. The player may:
- Take stroke-and-distance relief by playing a ball from a relief area based on where the previous stroke was made.
- Take back-on-the-line relief by dropping a ball outside the penalty area, keeping point X between the hole and the spot where the ball is dropped.
- Take lateral relief (red penalty area only). The reference point for taking relief is point X, and a ball must be dropped in and played from the two club-length relief area, which is no nearer the hole than point X.
GUR/ DROP ZONES
Ground under repair will be marked by white lines and relief may be taken. Drop zones will be marked by white lines.
